Aprile L. Pilon, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Executive Officer:  Dr. Pilon holds a BA in physics from Wheaton College, a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Penn State University, and a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.  An inventor, scientist, and entrepreneur, she has founded 4 biotechnology companies in the last 24 years, focusing on development of protein-based drugs for respiratory diseases. She designed, organized, and managed from 2 clinical trials in premature infants at risk of developing chronic lung disease (CLD).  Dr. Pilon is also the Founder of Therabron Therapeutics, currently in the process of completing a Phase 2 clinical trial in premature infants for a novel drug candidate to prevent CLD.

Adam A. Clayton, MS, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer:  Mr. Clayton received his dual major BS in electric engineering and computer science from MIT and a MS in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. His specialties are robotic systems and financial services computer systems.  He was a software engineer for PayPal and Blyspay and he recently designed, constructed, and programmed a medical device interface between the DaVinci robotic surgery unit and prostatic surgical wand (Blue Torch Technologies).

Rick Soni, Director: Rick Soni is a very experienced and successful executive with 30 years in the Life Sciences Industry, developing and commercializing highly successful products including drugs, diagnostics, and medical devices. He is currently CEO of Cellular Logistics, Inc., an early stage cardiac regenerative medicine company, and advisor to Therabron Therapeutics, a clinical stage drug development company. Rick previously worked as President and Chief Operating Officer of Rexahn Pharmaceuticals, which he was instrumental in transforming from the drug discovery stage to the clinical stage, securing major corporate partnerships and raising $60 million in equity investments. Prior to Rexahn, Rick held various management positions in Otsuka, Novartis, and Schering-Plough (now Merck). He is a respected member of the Life Sciences Industry, participating in several panel discussions over the years, including serving as one of the judges for prestigious Medical Marketing& Media Awards from 2013-2015. Rick is currently a Commercial Advisory Board member for Bio Health Innovation (BHI), a nonprofit private/public partnership dedicated to commercializing various innovative technologies.

Christine Copple, Ph.D., Advisor:  Chris brings over three decades of experience as a corporate officer and board member in several biotechnology enterprises ranging from oncology to neural stem cells to pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and BioMed IT. She has a Ph.D. in molecular biology with ten years of laboratory research experience, authoring over # scientific articles and patents/applications. As a technology company founder and executive, her responsibilities have included fund raising, business development, operations, build out, cGMP manufacturing build/design, regulatory affairs, human resources, international marketing and sales, corporate communication, PR, investor relations, legislative liaison and R&D. She also ran ASM Resources, Inc., the seed venture fund of the American Society of Microbiology where she made several BioMed IT investments. A founder of 2 publicly traded companies (Microfluidics, NeuralStem), she currently serves on several private corporate boards including the Washington D.C. ArchAngels where she Chairs their Bio-Life Science Caucus.
